Incoming students

Step 1: NOMINATION – for Partner Universities Coordinators

In order for the School of Human Health Sciences to accept students within the Erasmus+ program, the student's HOME INSTITUTION must send us an official NOMINATION at the following adress: relint@sc-saluteumana.unifi.it.

 

  • The nomination deadlines for MEDICINE are:

        - 1st semester, 2nd semester or full year:     31st May

  • The nomination deadlines for all other courses are:

        - 1st semester or full year:    31st May

        - 2nd semester:    31st October

 

Each nomination should include the following information for each student:

 

-        Erasmus University Code

-        Student’s Name and Surname

-        Gender

-        Student’s Email address

-        Nationality

-        Field of study (ISCED)

-        Study Cycle (BA/MA/PhD)

-        Period of mobility (first/second semester, full year)

 

Step 2: APPLICATION  - for Nominated Students

Once we receive a nomination, we will contact the students by email  providing all the information, instructions and forms for the Application process. The Application Documents signed and sealed from the HOME INSTITUTION must be sent by email to relint@sc-saluteumana.unifi.it. within the following deadlines:

  • The application deadlines for MEDICINE are:

        - 1st semester, 2nd semester or full year:     30th June

  • The application deadlines for all other courses are:

        - 1st semester or full year:    30th June

        - 2nd semester:    30th November

 

The following documents are required for the application process:

  • Enrolment Form: it must be signed and sealed by home institution. No enrolment will be accepted if the stamp and signature are missing
  • Learning Agreement: this document should be delivered through EWP if your University is connected with this new system, otherwise you can download the form and send it via email together with the other documents.
  • A copy of the student’s national identity card (for EU members) or passport (non-EU members).
  • Erasmus+ students with non-EU/EEA citizenship: copy of residence permit
  • An update Transcript of Records (English version - Bachelor and Master Degree course)
  • Certificate of language knowledge: Italian (Level B1)

Please remember that the Enrolment Form and Learning Agreement must be signed and stamped by the coordinator of the Home Institution.

Forms without all the requested signatures and stamps won't be accepted!

ALL the Application Documents should be sent by e-mail to relint@sc-saluteumana.unifi.it.  We accept scanned copies and it's NOT required to receive the original documents by post.

Step 3: BEFORE ARRIVING IN FLORENCE and ACCEPTANCE LETTER

As soon as the application forms are processed, we will verify if the documentation is in order and, afterwards, we will sign the Learning Agreement and send you a formal “acceptance" email. This mail will include useful information for your stay in Florence, such as instructions for requesting your tax identification number (“codice fiscale”). Please check your e-mail regurarly.

Before arriving in Florence, please register online by entering your personal information (see the instructions on TUTORIAL)

 

Step 4: UPON ARRIVAL IN FLORENCE: CHECK-IN

 

Your Erasmus mobility period will officially start on the weekday (Monday to Friday) following the date shown on your travel document (e.g. boarding pass, train ticket). 

  • For first semester arrivals, if you arrive before September 2nd, the start date of your Erasmus period will automatically be September 2nd.
  • For second semester arrivals, if you arrive before February 3rd, the start date of your Erasmus period will automatically be February 3rd.

About 14 days before your departure we will send the student an email with a Google Form Link. Students MUST insert all pertinent information such as: Name, Surname, Travel documents etc...

 

If you are a student from outside the European Union, in addition to your travel document, you must also send a copy of your passport with a student visa (if required). For visa information, see the Universitalywebsite. If the mobility period is longer than 90 days, a residence permit is also required.

 

After your arrival in Florence you will receive by email your student ID number (numero di matricola), the password for access to the  GCS Student Career Management, and your Unifi email address (name.surname@stud.unifi.it) that you must use for all communication with Unifi Offices, and the certificate of arrival.

 

After your enrolment, you need to update your personal page on GCS Student Career Management with your Italian personal information (e.g., domicile in Florence and Italian phone number). It is important that you keep it up to date.

 

PLEASE NOTE: it might take up to 2 days before you can access you email. DON'T WORRY, this is normal. If this continues for more than 2 days contact us at relint@sc-saluteumana.unifi.it

 

REMEMBER: at this point you will need your tax identification number (“codice fiscale”). 

Step 5: CHANGE OF THE SELECTED COURSES / LEARNING AGREEMENT

If you need to change your learning agreement and the selected courses at UNIFI you are allowed to do it within the deadlines that our Office will give you. Remember that you are allowed to do changes to the original study plan just one time per semester.
